At first, this life can seem as a chance to free oneself from the constraints posed by the civilized society and the delusion called contemporariness. This is all, however, only the consequence of the institutional marginalization of the members of the Balkan society. However, in Kova\u010devi\u0107\u2019s poetics, as is the case with the plots encountered in plays generally, one delusion is always followed by another. Human life and love as such are the only things worth sacrificing and fighting for, even if that\u00a0 might be through the dog\u2019s bark and the life of a \u201cstray dog\u201d. These are the words written by the Performing Arts Theatre in Nik\u0161i\u0107\u2019s director. The purpose of the play Kumovi<\/em><\/strong> is to celebrate the 140 years from the performance of the first play in Nik\u0161i\u0107.
