This exhibition is based on a selection of contemporary Montenegrin fine arts works.

The managing director of the Public Institution Budva “Theatre City”, Milena Lubarda Marojević opened the exhibition. She said that the exhibition is consisted of works of 17 artists and that the author of the exhibition is a painter, whose work can also be seen at the exhibition – Đorđije Bato Boljević.

“He didn’t want us to waste unnecessary words on the description of the exhibition, nor to talk about it, but to let the exhibited works and the exhibition concept speak for themselves. We will respect that”, said Lubarda Marojević and invited the visitors to make their own judgement of the exhibition and to enjoy the works.

The artist Bojana Popović, whose work is entitled “Points of Fraction”, pointed out that the exhibition is unusual and quite diverse.

“Every artist managed to get his own space and it is all connected logically. I am satisfied with the opening, the atmosphere and the space itself, so I am really pleased that I managed to contribute a small part to this exhibition “, said Popović.

The work of the artist Vaso Nikčević from the cycle “Symbol in Abstraction” is also part of this exhibition, and Nikčević shares the opinion that the exhibition is diverse and interesting.

“The space isn’t convenient for a conceptual exhibition, so it was very difficult to realize it, considering the fact that the works are so diverse. However, this looks really good, it is also presented in a range from the youngest to the oldest artists. I like it, it is very convincing “, he pointed out.

Sandra Đurbuzović, whose work is entitled “Montenegrin – Angel of Love”, is grateful to the author that her work is part of this exhibition.

“Our esteemed painter and academic graphic artist Đorđije Bato Boljević embraced us wonderfully in his exhibition, and I really thank him for that. It’s a wonderful selection of authors, but also a fantastic setting. The specificity of the ambience of the beautiful space of the Basilica of Santa Maria really obliges, but Bato did it brilliantly”, Đurbuzović pointed out.

The young artist from Budva, Dijana Lazović, emphasized that it really means a lot to her to be a part of this exhibition and this festival.

“The works are great, I am happy to be a part of this setting and to be together with my colleagues and friends,” she added.

The exhibition features works by the following artists: this year’s 13th July Award winner, Tomo Pavićević (No One Writes to the Colonel), Filip Janković (Still Life), Siniša Radulović (Fly Me to the Moon), Sanja Raonić (For Better or for Worse), Vidak Radmilović (St. Mantis), Vaso Nikčević (from the cycle Symbol in Abstraction), Sreten Nikčević (Untitled), Sandra Đurbuzović (Montenegrin – Angel of Love), Ivanka Vana Prelević (from the cycle Below the Surface), Ex-artist (Eye of the blackbird I), Marica Kuznjecov Boljević (from the cycle Under the Wing), Dijana Lazović (from the cycle Touches), Nada Kažić (Phase – Garden I), Bojana Popović (Points of Fraction) , Risto Radmilović (Analytics of Flight) and Đorđije Bato Boljević (from the cycle “Men-wolves”).

The exhibition will be open until August 20.

July 14, www.primorskenovine.me

The opening of the exhibition “Comeback – From the Contemporary Montenegrin Art Scene” on July 13, in the “Santa Maria” church marked the beginning of the XXXV “Theatre City” Festival fine arts programme.
