{"id":67118,"date":"2023-06-19T10:25:14","date_gmt":"2023-06-19T08:25:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gradteatar.me\/?p=67118"},"modified":"2024-02-27T21:33:38","modified_gmt":"2024-02-27T20:33:38","slug":"strenght-courage-and-stupidity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gradteatar.me\/en\/strenght-courage-and-stupidity\/","title":{"rendered":"Strenght, Courage and Stupidity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At today&#8217;s press conference presenting the program of the 37<sup>th<\/sup> &#8220;Theatre City&#8221; festival,\u00a0\u00a0 Milena Lubarda Marojevi\u0107, the director of &#8220;Theatre City&#8221;, Svetlana Ivanovi\u0107, the Chief editor of the program, Jak\u0161a \u0106alasan, the director of the National Museum of Montenegro, and maestro Bojan Su\u0111i\u0107 have addressed the journalists present.<\/p>\n<p>During 51, 49 festival days respectively, over 620 participants from the fields of drama, literature, music, and visual arts will perform in the programs of the 37<sup>th<\/sup> &#8220;Theatre City&#8221; festival. The programs will take place on the stage &#8220;Between the Churches,&#8221; inside the Santa Maria Church, on the Poets&#8217; Square, on the streets of the Old Town, on the plateau in front of the Avala Hotel, and in the amphitheater of the Stanjevi\u0107i Monastery.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s festival is held under the motto &#8220;Strength, Courage, and Stupidity,&#8221; and it was stated: &#8220;The complexity of the times that have befallen upon us blurred our believing both the stories with happy endings and infallible and painless moral actions. However, it does not mean that there is no faith in humanity. The willingness to confront our own flaws and weaknesses, everyone is familiar with, and to expose them may actually be a safer guide to better understanding the entirety of human nature. Sometimes strong, sometimes brave, sometimes foolish. Sometimes, and most often simultaneously, both brave and strong and foolish.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Drama program hosts 15 plays directed by: Ana Tomovi\u0107, Vuk R\u0161umovi\u0107, Boris Lije\u0161evi\u0107, Nina Nikoli\u0107, Milan Ne\u0161kovi\u0107, Mirjana Medojevi\u0107, Marko Misira\u010d, Igor Vuk Torbica, Milan Kara\u017ei\u0107, Nikita Milivojevi\u0107, Vito Taufer, a director and choreographer Sta\u0161a Zurovac, as well as an actress Lucija Bari\u0161i\u0107\u2019s author project. The Festival welcomes theatrical plays from Montenegro, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n<p>There are two theatrical premieres in the course of the 37. Theatre City Festival edition. The first one is characterized as \u201ca guided walk throughout the authentical sights of the old Budva\u201d, titled \u201cUnreal City\u201d, based upon the text and directed by Vuk R\u0161umovi\u0107. Another festival coproduction with the NT Sombor is directed by a Slovenian director Vito Taufer, based upon the legendary text \u201cRadovan III\u201c,\u00a0 by Du\u0161an Kova\u010devi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>The 37.festival embraces literary night with Du\u0161an Kova\u010devi\u0107, a writer at Poets\u2019 Square;\u00a0 Du\u0161an Kova\u010devi\u0107 is one of the laureates of City Theatre Award \u201cStefan Mitrov Ljubi\u0161a\u201c for literary achievements in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>Music program is to host 9 concerts and besides the opening night program, the festival stage is to be mounted by: Nemanja Radulovi\u0107, the violinist, Maestro Bojan Su\u0111i\u0107, Boris Kraljevi\u0107, the pianist,\u00a0 \u201cZagreb soloists\u201c, as well as Young Montenegrin musicians.<\/p>\n<p>Maestro Su\u0111i\u0107, jubilee award winner for the special contribution to the Festival has expressed great pleasure for mutual cooperation with the Festival being continued this year, adding that there is also a mighty aspect of the Festival music program alongside with the drama one.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Poets Square is assembling the best writers of the region in the course of 15 literary nights. \u0110or\u0111e Mati\u0107, Goran Petrovi\u0107, Mira\u0161 Martinovi\u0107, Vesna Goldsworthy, Tanja Baki\u0107, Milo Lompar, Aleksandar \u0160urbatovi\u0107, Mihajlo Panti\u0107, Jana Radi\u010devi\u0107, Snje\u017eana Banovi\u0107, Mirjana Novakovi\u0107, Du\u0161an Kova\u010devi\u0107 are to present their latest works. There are moderators being an important part of Poets Square, who are themselves respectable writers and critics, such as:\u00a0\u00a0 Neboj\u0161a Gruji\u010di\u0107, Mi\u0107a Vuji\u010di\u0107, prof. dr AleksandarJerkov, Barbara Dela\u0107, mr Milorad Durutovi\u0107, mr Bo\u017eena Jelu\u0161i\u0107, Danka Ivanovi\u0107 MA, Tamara Krsti\u0107, Gojko Bo\u017eovi\u0107, prof. dr Jelena Kne\u017eevi\u0107, mr Janko Ljumovi\u0107, dr Petra Bjelica&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Central part of the Festival Art Program is planned to happen on the 13<sup>th<\/sup> of July, when the exhibition Mentors and prot\u00e9g\u00e9s of Herceg Novi Art School\u00a0 \u2013 in cooperation with The National Museum of Montenegro,\u00a0 is to be opened.
