Through huge layers of the atmosphere and vast ocean spaces  travels the visible and invisible human waste. It is spread far, all the way to the heart of the ocean- a Coral Island  two thousand kilometers from the nearest civilization. It is accumulated within the body of a faithful albatross that has been collecting the food for its young for many a long year  and ,finally, this food finds itself within the  young albatross’ stomach. Millions and millions of years and countless albatrosses that spend their time  flying over the wild sea. They have been  worrying constantly  and trying to enable the preservation of the species. All this is in vain ,however,  once they come in contact with the product of the human genius- a matter  that has existed for less than a hundred years-plastic. Chemicals, plastic, living beings and their cousins, obligations and necessities are combined in a complex network of mutual relations and Budućnost is a play tackling its very core.

Žika Divljak is one of the most influential young Slovenian directors. In his plays, which raise the social awareness, he deals with the most current topics in society. Starting of with the assumption that theatre can affect society and gradually transform it, he created a  project “Neposredno pre revolucije” (2013-2015) while he was still a student. This speaks to the fact that  he was socially engaged even then. In his manner and with the use of new-fashioned  approaches in directing, he has created countless distinguished plays in many Slovenian theatres.
