The literary program of the 37th Theatre City Festival continued last night at the Poets’ Square in Budva’s Old Town with the guest appearance of a writer and university professor Mihajlo Pantić. The moderator of the evening was Gojko Božović, poet, literary critic, essayist and publisher.
Thanking the large audience for their interest, Pantić said that there was a veteran of Poets’ Square present in front of them.
“More than 30 years ago, as a young literary critic, I was one of the members of the jury for awarding the “Stefan Mitrov Ljubiša” award, which in the meantime has gained a suitable reputation. Afterwards, I had my readings here on several occasions. First of all, I want to dedicate this evening to one of my departed friends. Today, more than a friend of mine, our significant writer and storyteller who waited for me at my literary beginnings, was sent to the other world, and it is David Albahari, Pantić said, reading one of his stories to the audience afterwards.
A moderator, Gojko Božović said that literature has a natural need to build the world, and that in its best moments and best books by top writers, it succeeds in doing so.
