On Monday, September 16, the implementation of the project, which the Public Institution “Theatre City” is implementing as part of the Creative Europe program “CREA-CULT-2023-COOP” together with its partners, has continued. The partners in the project are the Bosnian National Theater in Zenica (leading partner), Montpellier Paul–Valéry University in France and Teatro Circo de Braga in Portugal. This project, entitled “The Sexual Theatre–A Feminist Readings of Classics”, deals with the literary works of the patriarchal heritage of the countries participating in the project, from the pont of view of feminist theories. The result of the project will be four original international productions which will be presented at four international festivals. The workshops are realized with the support of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Royal Theater Zetski dom in Cetinje, in order to select actors for the future performance. The first workshop was held yesterday in the premises of the Faculty of Fine Arts. These workshops in Cetinje, led by Catia Faisco and Laurent Berger, consist of physical and vocal training and improvisation, as well as work on the text. The activities related to the creation of these plays began in June in Podgorica and Budva, with workshops held in cooperation with the Budva Youth Club and the NGO “Prima”, when playwright Catia Faisco, together with psychologists Katarina Vukadinović, Aida Perović and activist Anđela Žarić, began work on collecting material for a future dramatic text.
The implementation of this project will last until December 2025.
