The first cycle of rehearsals for the play “No Woman’s Land”, directed by Laurent Berger from France, have started in the “Red Commune” in Petrovac. The text was written by playwright Catia Faisco, based on the story “Jumping Girl” by Stefan M. Ljubiša. The play was created as a result of the “Sexual Theatre” project within the Creative Europe program.
Alongside with the Public Institution “Theatre City”, partners in this project are the Bosnian National Theatre in Zenica, Paul-Vallery Montpellier University in France and Faz Cultura in Braga, Portugal.
The subjects that were treated during the work on the project were related to feminist theories, gender equality and patriarchy, which are characteristic for the countries participating in the project realization, namely France, Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The result of this process is four plays that will be presented in 2025 in these countries.
The cast of the play comprises Montenegrin actresses: Anđelija Rondović, Milica Šćepanović, Lara Dragović, Mirjana Spaić and Marija Liješević.
The Public Institution “Theatre City” wants to thank The Public Institution “Museums and Galleries of Budva” for the provided rehearsal space.
