The play “Enabled Theatre” by the writer-director Haris Pašović has been performed at the “Aveirense” Theatre (Aveiro). Having accepted the challenge of being this year’s Portuguese Capital of Culture, the City of Aveiro included the aforementioned play in its “Capital of Culture” programme for the year 2024.
This theatre piece has been inspired by the children and people living with autism and cerebral palsy’s magnificent inner world and everyday lives.
The acting ensemble of the play consists of: Gordana Ðurđević Dimić, Lidija Stevanović, Sanja Ristić Krajnov,Jelena Antonijević, Mina Pavlica, Marija Feldeši, Milan Kovačević, Marko Savković,Vukašin Ranđelović, Aljoša Ðidić, Aleksandar Sarapa i Rade Perović.
Along with Haris Pašović, the artistic and authorial team of the play comprises: the scenographer Ivana Jančić, the composer Dino Šukalo, the choreographer Larisa Lipovac Navojec, the costume designer’s assistant Minja Davidović, Matija Molčanov (the accompanying piano music) in addition to Dino Hujić (video design) and costume designs also by Haris Pašović.
The well- renowned Portuguese weekly magazine “SOL” has published an interview with Haris Pašović on no less that nine pages, including the front one. The other major interviews have also been published by: The most influential Portuguese daily newspaper-“Publico”, The “Gerador” news portal, The Portuguese National radio and other media in Portugal. Haris Pašović has also been asked to moderate The New Deal of Arts and Democracy event. This occasion gathered many important and well-known guests from Europe who addressed the topic of European arts and democracy.
The play “Enabled Theatre”), shedding more light on the life of the persons with developmental disabilities, has until now been successfully performed in: The Sarajevo National Theatre, The Serbian National Theatre (Novi Sad), The “Gavella” Theatre (Zagreb) and The “Aveirense” Theatre (Aveiro, Portugal).The project, within the constraints of which the play “World of Opportunities” is realized, is named “Enabled Theatre” and is the co-production of: The “East-West” Centre (Sarajevo), The Serbian National Theatre (Novi Sad), The “Theatre City” (Budva) and The Dance Academy “Tala” (Zagreb). It is supported by the European Union as a part of the “Creative Europe” programme.
