The drama program of the 37th festival Theatre City continued last night on the stage between the Churches in Budva’s Old Town.
Speaking about the play, the director has said that “Aladdin” is a great world fairy tale, which has been performed many times in all theaters, and that his inspiration for this version was Old Podgorica city, the Clock Tower and memories.
The actors of the Theater City from Podgorica brought recognizable characters from the famous fairy tale to life. Through impressive scenes, rich costumes and carefully designed scenography, the audience is transported to the mysterious Orient, where Aladdin, a brave young man from a poor neighborhood, discovered a magical lamp that fulfills three wishes. In the role of Aladdin, Lazar Đurđević stood out, whose interpretation of the character brought energy and charm to the stage.
Aladdin’s chosen one, Princess Bedr-el-Badur, is played by Lara Dragović, who said that the audience always responds well to the play.
The set design for the play is done by AndrejaRondović, costume design by LinaLeković, music by Leo Đokaj, and stage movement and choreography by SlavkaNelević. In the play, in addition to Đurđević and Dragović, Omar Bajramspahić, MilošPejović, MajaŠarenac, VukanPejović, Stefan Vuković, MarijaĐurić and DavorDragojević play.
